The 19-mile overnight kayak adventure is a popular trip that covers prime transient and southern resident orca territory. The trip is designed for fit and adventurous individuals, and is planned only when tidal currents are optimal to aid the journey each day. After a day of kayaking, sailing and hiking, guests will enjoy a seaside campsite on a secluded island only accessible by boat. The trip culminates with a hike to a secret lookout to watch the sunset over the Canadian Gulf and Vancouver Islands. The adventure includes all kayaking equipment such as boats, paddles, splash guards, life preservers, and dry bags. Guests will paddle in tandem kayaks and receive one breakfast, two lunches, and one dinner. The trip is rated as moderate to hard, and participants must be in excellent shape, experienced in the outdoors, and able to paddle for sustained periods of time. The minimum age to participate is 14.
